The Store / Counter Person will provide essential customer service and stock support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the store and trade counter. Working closely with the Store Manager and other staff members, the role will involve assisting customers, maintaining stock availability, pricing items, and supporting day-to-day store operations.
This new entry-level position has been created to support the Store Manager and improve the efficiency of store and trade counter operations. The role provides an opportunity to develop customer service, stock control, and organisational skills while supporting the day-to-day activities of the business.
Responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact for customers at the trade counter, providing a professional and helpful service.
- Assist customers with product enquiries and locating required items.
- Process customer orders and payments and provide receipts as required.
- Fill and replenish stock when items are low or missing.
- Price items accurately and update correct price displays.
- Assist with placing stock orders and checking deliveries on arrival.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store and counter area.
- Support the Store Manager with daily store operations and general tasks.
