The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 Β£ per hour.
An entry-level administrative role offering structured, supervised work experience within a community and charity setting. The postholder will support day-to-day administration while developing practical occupational skills aligned with the JobStart Scheme.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, document management, and updating spreadsheets and trackers.
- Manage basic enquiries by email and phone, recording information accurately and escalating when needed.
- Use Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, shared drives) and internal tracking systems.
- Support the administration of community events and fundraising activities, including registration lists, attendance check-ins, set-up support, and post-event updates (e.g. Just Be Social events, birthday admin, Belfast Marathon).
- Assist with basic data reporting and record-keeping.
- Support scheduling, organisation of resources, and monthly tasks such as leaflet ordering and local GP leaflet drops.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to use a computer for everyday tasks such as emails, documents, and spreadsheets, with a positive attitude towards learning new digital systems like Google Docs and Sheets.
- Able to keep information tidy and up to date, follow processes, and ensure names, dates, and records are accurate.
- Confident communicating in a polite, professional way by email, phone, and in person, and able to pass information on clearly to colleagues.
- Comfortable taking guidance, asking questions when unsure, and completing tasks as directed within agreed timeframes.
- A genuine interest in supporting community activities and understanding the values of a charity-led organisation, including respectful interaction with service users and volunteers.
Further Information
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
