The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

Be the first point of contact for all visitors to Focus on Family, managing the internal buzzer system, greeting and directing visitors, answering queries, taking messages, and ensuring the sign‑in process is followed. Handle all incoming telephone calls, redirecting them to the appropriate staff member or taking messages when required. Provide general administrative support, including basic IT tasks, paperwork, photocopying and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for a welcome to all visitors/telephone callers to Focus on Family.
  • Ensuring all queries are dealt with effectively and courteously.
  • Effective use of internal entry system and telephone systems.
  • Support with IT and paperwork tasks.
  • Assist with fire drills and safety procedures, helping to ensure the safe evacuation of all building users, including children.
  • Other duties such as photocopying, as required to support existing staff.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills and ability to relate to a wide range of people.
  • Some ICT skills – understanding of use of Microsoft Word, email systems, etc.
  • Some experience of using telephone transfer systems would be of benefit, though not essential as full training will be provided.

Further Information:

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
