SPACES BY LIMINAL is offering an entry level role to support the design and production of bespoke furniture and interior projects. The participant will work alongside the director, gaining hands-on experience in design workflow and practical workshop tasks, with mentoring and training. The role requires independence, initiative, and a willingness to travel across Ireland for site installations. Flexibility with working hours is required. You will represent the company and uphold its values and high client standards. Experience with hand tools is essential; training will be provided on machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with CAD drawings, measurements and basic design documentation.
  • Supporting project preparation, including labelling parts and organising materials.
  • Helping with basic workshop tasks such as sanding, assembly and finishing under supervision.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
  • Assisting with deliveries, site measurements and project installations where appropriate - travel will be required.
  • Lifting, moving and manufacturing using sheet materials.
  • Contributing to workflow planning and problem-solving discussions.
  • Learning and following health & safety procedures and workplace best practice.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to travel independently to and from the workshop.
  • A full, clean driving licence, as occasional driving may be required for deliveries or site visits in rental vans.
  • Willingness to learn, take instruction and work safely in a workshop environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime some weeks into the evening and different days in the week.
  • Experience using hand tools. Eg, Drills, sanders, etc.
  • Passionate about high quality design and materials.
  • Work independently on your own at times.
  • Well organised and good time management.
  • Physically able to lift sheet materials and cabinets.
  • Able to work in a small team.
