We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media and Content Creator. In this pivotal role, you will help deliver the Club’s media and public relations strategy, enhancing our reputation, managing press relationships, and driving creative, high impact campaigns. This is a hands-on position requiring strategic thinking, creativity, and resilience, with a strong focus on proactive media management.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all press enquiries, ensuring the Club’s position is consistently and accurately represented.
- Proactively pitch stories, arrange interviews, and secure high-value coverage across print, broadcast, and digital channels.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with journalists, editors, and key influencers, locally and nationally.
- Prepare and distribute timely, high quality press releases, statements, and media briefings.
- Lead and implement communications plans for major commercial and club-wide projects.
- Create creative, multi-channel campaigns, traditional, digital, and social, both proactive and reactive.
- Draft and edit compelling content, including features, speeches, and responses to developing stories.
- Monitor emerging news and social trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Monitor and evaluate media activity.
- Work with and develop team members, raising standards and fostering a first-class communications culture.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work alone.
- Flexible approach and capable of working with people from different age groups.
- Qualification in Social Media, Marketing or Content creation.
Further Information
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
