The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 Β£ per hour.
The Trainee Maintenance Assistant will support the maintenance team in ensuring homes, grounds, and equipment are kept safe, well maintained, and in good working order. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical experience and training in maintenance and property upkeep.
You will be required to follow all health and safety policies and procedures at all times and be willing to learn and develop maintenance skills through on-the-job training. This role may involve working across multiple sites along with the potential of a DBS/AccessNI check being required.
Training & Development- Full training will be provided.
- Opportunity to gain relevant maintenance qualifications and certifications.
- Ongoing support and supervision from experienced maintenance staff.
- Assist with general maintenance and repair tasks under supervision.
- Carry out basic repairs such as painting, minor plumbing, joinery, and general DIY tasks.
- Support routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain safe, clean, and tidy working areas.
- Assist with grounds maintenance including outdoor areas where required.
- Ad hoc duties as provided by maintenance supervisor.
- Basic DIY knowledge.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic awareness of health and safety.
- Previous experience in a practical or maintenance-related role would be preferred.
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
