Innovapack is a specialist in the design and manufacture of packaging solutions, producing a range of printed packaging into the food and non-food markets throughout the European market. Innovapack is looking to add a new packaging technologist to join our team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The candidate will be offered a comprehensive training program with technical knowledge about packaging and sustainability.
Support will be provided for:
- Product training
- Communication training
- Marketing materials
- CRM training
Responsibilities:
- Generating new packaging products in response to briefs.
- Ensuring that packaging products meet set requirements and specifications.
- Producing samples to try out different materials and designs.
- Liaising with marketing, purchasing and production staff.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
- Running trials to check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions.
- Identify and cultivate a comprehensive business development strategy within the UK food market that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Develop and secure new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in order to create and deliver their packaging requirements from end to end.
- Present and promote cutting-edge packaging solutions to potential clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships with potential clients.
- Exceptional presentation skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey the value of our solutions.
- Able to demonstrate a self-motivated, proactive, and driven by results, with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Proficiency in using CRM software tools to streamline workflows and optimize performance.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, enabling you to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Further Information:
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
