Small Steps is seeking an outreach support worker to engage with community groups to increase the use of our 17-seat minibus. The successful participant will work alongside the Project Manager and Development Worker to support the delivery of community events and programmes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure passengers use seatbelts and enter and exit the vehicle safely.
- Ensure bus is checked after each trip for any items left behind by passengers.
- Keep the minibus clean.
- Carry out basic safety checks, fuel, lights, tyres.
- Ensuring the minibus is left in the locked carpark when not in use.
- Ensure MOT and Service is completed when required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Office Administration Skills - IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office packages.
- Relevant clean license to drive a 17-seat minibus.
- Complete a successful Access NI Check.
- Safeguarding training for children and adults (training can be provided).
Further Information
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
