Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting chefs, and ensuring a smooth workflow in food preparation environments. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Duties: Regularly wash dishes, pots, and pans, and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas and kitchen floors.
  • Food Preparation: Assist chefs with basic food prep tasks, such as washing and chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients as needed.
  • Stock Management: Help manage kitchen stock, including organising supplies and ensuring that ingredients are properly stored and labelled.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order, reporting any issues to the kitchen manager or head chef.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Further Information

JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
