The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 Β£ per hour.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team-player to join us in our bright and vibrant Crescent Vitality Centre working with the Vitality Over 55 Project. Your main role will be to assist the Programme Manager in the management of routine external maintenance of the centre. Our aim is to ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the centre and safety for staff and service users.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Programme Manager in the management of routine grounds maintenance of the centre.
- Ensuring positive engagement and communications with all visitors and users of the centre.
- Lawn Care: Mowing, edging, and fertilising lawns to maintain a neat appearance.
- Plant Maintenance: Pruning shrubs, planting flowers, and caring for trees and plants.
- Pest Management: Applying pesticides and fertilisers as needed.
- Waste Management: Removing litter from grounds.
- Seasonal Duties: Gritting and clearance of paths and parking areas in winter.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and in clean, working order and report any faults to the Programme Manager including monitoring and reporting of any potential risks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge in the use of maintenance equipment and PPE.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Experience of small maintenance tasks.
Further Information:
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
