As an Event Catering Assistant you will serve food and drinks to event attendees, as well as various other tasks related to food preparation and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise all tableware before catering events.
  • Load and unload food, tableware and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles.
  • Food and drinks service.
  • Assist with the preparation of dining areas.
  • Disposal of food waste in line with working protocols.
  • At the end of events: removing dishes and loading dishwashers.
  • Emptying dishwashers and storing dishes and cutlery in designated cupboards and drawers.
  • Cleaning of kitchen appliances.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Open to training progression both in house and off site.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take instruction.
  • Communicate clearly.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Previous experience as a catering assistant or similar position.
  • Hospitality skills.

Further Information

  • Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
  • Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
  • Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
