As an Event Catering Assistant you will serve food and drinks to event attendees, as well as various other tasks related to food preparation and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise all tableware before catering events.
- Load and unload food, tableware and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles.
- Food and drinks service.
- Assist with the preparation of dining areas.
- Disposal of food waste in line with working protocols.
- At the end of events: removing dishes and loading dishwashers.
- Emptying dishwashers and storing dishes and cutlery in designated cupboards and drawers.
- Cleaning of kitchen appliances.
Skills and Qualifications
- Open to training progression both in house and off site.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a willingness to take instruction.
- Communicate clearly.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Previous experience as a catering assistant or similar position.
- Hospitality skills.
Further Information
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
