The Community Gardener will support the development, maintenance and the use of the community garden spaces to promote wellbeing, environmental awareness and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Planning & carrying out day to day gardening activities.
- Delivering informal learning & growing sessions.
- Supporting sustainable use of the garden in line with organisations requirements.
- Working with residents and partners to deliver events & programs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and interest in gardening & horticulture.
- Good communication & organisational skills.
- Physical stamina & safety awareness.
- Experience working in a community garden.
Further Information
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
