This is a developmental JobStart role supporting someone to gain introductory experience in communications and digital media within a voluntary organisation. The role focuses on creativity, digital confidence, and responsible online engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with creating simple social media content using templates.
- Support promotion of community events and activities.
- Organise photos, videos, and digital files.
- Assist with basic design, website maintenance and content scheduling.
- Learn about consent, safeguarding, and appropriate online communication.
Skills and Qualifications
- Interest in digital media, communications, or social media.
- Willingness to learn new digital skills.
- Basic IT and communication skills.
- Ability to follow guidance and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work with and support people from diverse backgrounds, including host community members, ethnic minority communities, asylum seekers, and refugees.
- Interest in photography, design, or storytelling.
- English required for communication purposes - Additional languages will be helpful.
Further Information
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
