Expono Exhibition and Event Solutions is seeking an organised and motivated Business Support Assistant. This entry-level position will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in office administration, communication, and digital coordination within an ever-growing professional exhibition and event company environment. The participant will support the day-to-day running of the business by assisting with scheduling, responding to emails, organising files and records, and helping to manage customer online communications.
The role will also involve contributing to the company’s social media presence by preparing and posting updates under guidance. The participant will work directly with the business owners, gaining real responsibility, modern digital skills, and hands-on experience that will prepare them for an advanced position as the organisation develops.
Our role is to make it as easy as possible for clients to do business. We provide all the necessary elements to ensure events are both successful and enjoyable for teams and delegates. Our office and production hub is located just two minutes from Belfast City Centre, making us ideally positioned to handle last-minute requirements. With over 20 years of industry experience, Expono Displays have extensive expertise working with local venues and a wide range of clients, from in-house association teams to event management companies. Full on the job training will be given.
Responsibilities
- Managing and updating the company filing and finance systems.
- Organising digital files, project documentation and business records.
- Supporting client communication and customer service tasks.
- Completing data entry and maintaining Excel trackers.
- Assisting with scheduling, diary management and workflow planning.
- Preparing templates, reports, documents and internal updates.
- Recording project notes and organising key information.
- Taking responsibility for assigned tasks and supporting day-to-day operations.
- Support daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Help manage emails and phone enquiries in a professional manner.
- Contribute to social media updates, including posting photos or promotional material under guidance.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and basic inventory organisation.
- Support the wider team with general office duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
