We are looking for a Bookkeeping Assistant to help manage the financial records of our business. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks. Full training will be provided, making this an opportunity for someone looking to develop practical accounting and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update financial transactions in QuickBooks, including sales, purchases and expenses.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Organize and maintain invoices, receipts and other financial documents.
  • Assist with preparing reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Support management with any additional bookkeeping or administrative duties as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all financial information.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Interest in bookkeeping, finance or business administration.
  • Willingness to learn QuickBooks and other accounting tools (full training provided).
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous experience with bookkeeping, accounting or data entry.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.

Further Information

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
