The Bar Staff will support the day-to-day running of Lisburn Cricket Club’s bar based in Wallace Park. The role provides practical experience in hospitality, customer service, and food and beverage operations within a vibrant community sports environment. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for members, visitors, and community groups.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in line with club standards.
- Assist with setting up and closing the bar area, ensuring it remains clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Support stock management through restocking, checking deliveries, and rotating products.
- Operate tills and process payments securely and accurately.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene requirements, including food safety regulations.
- Assist with service at matches, events, and community functions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Interest in hospitality or customer service.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and payment processing.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Previous experience in a café, bar, or hospitality setting (paid or voluntary).

Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
