The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 Β£ per hour.
This entry-level position will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience working in the photography industry, photo editing, administration, communication, bookkeeping, and digital marketing. The participant will support the day-to-day running of the business by assisting with photography shoots, post-production editing, responding to emails, organising & backing up images, bookkeeping, and helping with website updates & social media presence by preparing and posting posts under guidance. This opportunity will allow the participant to develop key occupational skills in administration, organisation, and communication, while also building employability skills such as teamwork, professionalism, and digital literacy.
Responsibilities
- Assist with photo shoots & post-production editing.
- Support daily administrative tasks such as emails, invoices, and digital files management.
- Help manage emails in a professional manner.
- Contribute to social media updates, including posting photos or promotional material under guidance.
- Assist with website maintenance and updates.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively.
- Gather customer feedback & testimonials.
- Ability to identify and implement business improvements.
- Organise and manage file backup systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- Understand accuracy and confidentiality of all financial information.
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, and Google Docs).
- Able to work independently when needed.
- Proficient in Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop.
- Driving Licence.
- Good organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn XERO accounting tool to allow for entering and updating financial transactions in Xero, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom.
- Experience using online photography platforms (Pic-Time / Shoot proof).
- Experience using social media platforms for business or promotional purposes.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative setting.
- Basic understanding of WordPress (updating text and images).
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
- Interest in marketing, branding, or digital content creation.
Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
