The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 £ per hour.
The General Clubhouse Operative supports the smooth running of the club by ensuring facilities are clean, safe and welcoming. You will also provide assistance to the bar during busy periods, events and match days. This role will have various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all club areas including the bar, lounge, changing rooms, toilets, corridors and public spaces.
- Conduct regular mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces and emptying bins.
- Ensure toilets are kept tidy and replenished.
- Clean after matches, events and functions.
- Report damage, maintenance issues or stock shortages to the bar manager.
- Assist bar staff during busy periods by collecting glasses, wiping tables and helping to maintain a clean and pleasant bar environment.
- Help restock fridges, bar displays and supplies.
- Help prepare simple refreshments if required.
- Help maintain cleanliness behind the bar.
- Provide friendly and helpful service where required.
- Support match day or functions set-up.
- Ensure public spaces and areas are clean before and after matches.
- Follow club cleaning procedures and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Along with any other duties as directed by club management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or hospitality support.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and match days.
- Previous experience of bar work.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures.
- Interest in community sport and club activities.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Team-orientated.
Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
