The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 £ per hour.
Working within the Planetarium Team to undertake a variety of customer service tasks in our café and shop. Provide a friendly and welcoming service to all customers, manage stock levels, and maintain general presentation.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the café, preparing the counter and displays.
- Operate the till, handle cash and process card payments.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene throughout the café with regular cleaning and maintenance of coffee machine, grinder, and other equipment.
- Prepare and serve a range of hot/cold drinks.
- Assist with basic food preparation (where applicable).
- Follow food hygiene, allergen and safety guidelines including completing temperature checks, cleaning logs and daily checklists.
- Receive and check deliveries, reporting any discrepancies.
- Participate in stock ordering and inventory tasks.
- Replenish shelves, ensuring stock rotation and freshness.
- Clear tables, manage waste and recycling, and keep the café seating area clean and tidy.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Use of till/EPOS system.
- Barista training.
Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
