Responsibilities

  • Drive innovative product development for the AJ Bell D2C website and apps in response to customer feedback, competitor initiatives, and ideas to differentiate AJ Bell from other retail investment providers.
  • Translate business requirements and define product requirements for each change project.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to agree on designs, support development, and be involved in UAT testing, release phases, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Ensure new products and significant changes to existing web and app are tested with customers through beta testing, incorporating their feedback to improve the product before full launch.
  • Manage the sprint planning process with digital strategy and mobile development teams, balancing key priorities and short-term improvements.
  • Own the product backlog, writing detailed user stories and requirements.
  • Create new content with the marketing team on the web and app to support product launches, including landing pages and FAQs.
  • Coordinate with impacted teams, including customer-facing and marketing teams, to ensure smooth change management and support to enhance customer experience.
  • Provide training documents for customer-facing teams before new product launches and assist the product manager with training.
  • Become a product expert and support the marketing team in developing accurate content.
  • Ensure compliance of changes with input from the Compliance and Technical teams.
  • Manage junior staff members, delegate work, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform other tasks as agreed with the Senior Product Development Manager.
