About the Role

As a Physiotherapist (Rotational), you will enjoy a variety of work across the hospital setting. The block rotations are between inpatient and outpatient services with a mix of medical, surgical, musculoskeletal and rehabilitation. You'll also be part of the weekend on-call roster.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing quality assessment, intervention, advice and discharge planning through a patient-centred approach. The role requires you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs.

This is a permanent full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday. You'll be based at Nelson Hospital.

About you

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • NZ registration in Physiotherapy and a current practising certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based practice, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
