The role includes delivering a range ofarboriculturalconsultancy and advisory services for a variety of projects and contracts, primarily in the renewable energy and residential sectors. The chosen candidate will liaise with clients, contractors, statutoryagentsand a multi-disciplinaryteam;assistingwith managing project budgets,timescalesand delivery, undertakingarboriculturalsurveys and with a focus on the production of high-quality technical reports,drawingsand advice.

We are open to applications from candidatesacross theUK,however the ideal candidate will be based, or happy to travel toparts of Southern England. Therefore we have adverts for both our Norwich and London Office, however, this will be for one position only.

Salary banding from £34,000 to £45,000 dependent on experience.

If Successful in this role, you will:

  • Co-ordinate and undertakearboriculturalsurveys and prepare reports and plans in line with BS5837:2012 guidance (from pre-planning feasibility studies to construction stage support and everything in between).
  • Support with thedelivery ofcomprehensive Tree Survey Reports,ArboriculturalImpact AssessmentsandArboriculturalMethod Statements.
  • Undertakearboriculturalmonitoring and supervision of works on active construction sites.
  • Undertaketree riskassessmentsandassociatedrisk management appraisals.
  • Identifyand assessveteran and ancientarboriculturalfeatures.
  • Support withpreparingquotations forarboriculturalservices.
  • Act asspecialist to support clients and internal teams with pragmatic solutions.Escalatingcomplex issuestosenior managementand supporting withresolutions.
  • Maintaining and building strong working relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Assistingwith the development of newarboriculturalspecialisms for the company.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Arboriculture,Forestryor other related environmental discipline.
  • Experience in a similar advisory role, with a proventrack recordof successful project management and delivery.
  • Proficiencyin tree surveying to BS5837:2012with the use of relevant software.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing high quality reports with attention to detail.
  • Sound Knowledge of tree species identification, morphology, planning,legislationand best practice.
  • Sound knowledge of pest and disease diagnostics, controlmeasuresand mitigation.
  • Professional membership of anarboricultural/ forestry industry body (or ability to obtain this).
  • Ability to apply a proportional and pragmatic approach to technical challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise reports tohigh standards.
  • Able and willing to travel to sitesin varied weather conditions.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirab le Requirements

  • A good working knowledge and ability to prepare scaled plans within AutoCAD andQGIS.
  • Experience undertaking tree riskinspectionusing arelevant assessmentmatrix;e.g,QTRA, VALID, THREATS, etc.
  • Managerial experience
  • ALantraaccredited Professional Tree Inspector qualification.
