We are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to take ownership of our financial and project‑management systems and lead the next phase of their development.

Having implemented Deltek Vantagepoint in April 2025, we are now focused on delivering a significant system upgrade, expanding platform capability and driving the financial integration of our growing acquisition pipeline.

This is a hands on leadership role that requires both strategic oversight and the technical depth to get things done.

You will take the lead on planning and executing the Vantagepoint upgrade, owning the project from scoping and testing through to go‑live and post‑implementation review.

Alongside this, you will play a central role in onboarding new acquisitions, designing and delivering financial data migrations, aligning chart of accounts structures and ensuring new entities are embedded into our systems and processes with minimal disruption.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT and the wider business, acting as the internal authority on Vantagepoint and the go‑to lead for all significant systems change.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Take ownership of the Deltek Vantagepoint platform, acting as the internal subject‑matter expert and primary point of escalation for all system‑related matters.
  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of the Vantagepoint system upgrade, managing workstreams across Finance, IT and the implementation partner.
  • Lead the financial systems integration of new acquisitions. Including data migration strategy, chart‑of‑accounts mapping, and data validation.
  • Design and implement scalable processes and controls to support the onboarding of future acquisitions into Vantagepoint.
  • Drive the rollout of additional Vantagepoint functionality, working with business stakeholders to prioritise and deliver enhancements that improve efficiency and reporting quality.
  • Oversee system configuration, access management, segregation of duties and change‑control governance.
  • Lead user acceptance testing programmes for upgrades, migrations and new functionality.
  • Manage the relationship with Deltek and implementation partners, holding them to account on delivery, quality and timescales.
  • Maintain and improve integrations between Vantagepoint and other business applications.
  • Establish and maintain robust system documentation, including migration logs, process maps and change records.
  • Provide guidance, training and escalation support to Finance and operational users across the business.
  • Build and maintain financial and operational reporting, using Vantagepoint, Power BI and Excel.
  • Champion continuous improvement across finance systems, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve data quality and strengthen controls.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in a finance systems, ERP management or systems accounting role, with a track record of owning and leading system change.
  • Demonstrable experience leading or playing a senior role in an ERP upgrade, implementation or major enhancement project.
  • Hands‑on experience delivering financial data migrations, including data mapping, cleansing, validation and cutover.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, project accounting and management reporting.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, hold project plans together and drive delivery across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to operate at senior and Board level.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to lead on projects independently.
