The Student Language Success Coordinator role oversees and optimizes district-wide programming, providing essential coordination, guidance, professional development, and direct support for key areas including tiered language acquisition programs and supports to include immersion and multilingual learning opportunities. The individual in this position will collaborate closely with administrators and directors on staffing, offer coaching grounded in data analysis and evidence-based practices, and deliver training to ensure effective implementation of tiered language acquisition instruction. A core focus will be on coordinating and enhancing language acquisition programs, from student assessment and placement to instructional development. This role is responsible for managing compliance with program and state reporting requirements. This position will report directly to the Teaching and Learning Director.
Essential Functions:
- Provide coordination, guidance, professional development, and support for district programming for multilingual learners.
- Coordinate with building administrators, program administrators and/or directors with hiring and supervision of departmental staff.
- Develop and facilitate inclusive opportunities that promote language acquisition and growth for diverse learners district-wide.
- Provide coaching and support to address barriers to learning through data analysis and utilise evidence-based practices to ensure success for all students.
- Provide training and support to administrators, teachers, and leadership teams to facilitate implementation of tiered multilingual supports.
- Facilitate professional learning and support co-teaching at the district and school level.
- Coordinate and support multilingual programs and services including student assessment and placement and instructional program development to ensure services meet the needs of all district multilingual learners.
- Increase connection, engagement, and support of our families and community to ensure multilingual interpretation and translation is available for staff, students, and parents when needed.
- Oversee all financial aspects of assigned programs, including developing, tracking, and reporting on budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and compliance with financial guidelines.
- Prepare and submit appropriate program and state reports consistent with district/state and grant requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Hands-on leader with the ability to develop and lead strategic operational initiatives.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, administrators, students, parents, the School Board, and the community.
- Knowledge of a Multi-Tiered System of Support framework and implementation of a MTSS model in school settings.
- Knowledge of a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework and implementation of a PBIS model in school settings.
- Knowledge of academic interventions to support high quality instruction for all students.
- Proficient in use of various types of assessment to inform decision making.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and/or Somali is preferred, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary complements skills, experience and qualification with a 240 day contract salary of £106,536.
