Are you passionate about public services and good governance? Do you want to make a meaningful contribution to your community? Somerset Council is looking for Co-opted Members to join its Audit Committee
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and strong financial oversight within the Council. The Audit Committee is a cornerstone of Somerset Council’s governance framework, providing independent scrutiny of risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.
As a Co-opted Member, you’ll:
- Bring an independent perspective to key decisions
- Help ensure public funds are managed responsibly
- Support effective internal and external audit practices
- Contribute to the integrity and efficiency of local government
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
