We have a new opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Housing Asset Team. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will carry out surveys, property and disrepair inspections and oversee the delivery of sub-contracted repairs to ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Woking Borough Council's standards and timeframes.
Reporting to our Housing Repairs Manager, you will carry out surveys to properties within the Woking region including Damp and Mould inspections. You will be responsible for diagnosing the cause of complex faults and failures and post inspect works supporting Woking properties to ensure that high quality works are delivered within budget, on time safely and to a high standard whilst achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction KPIs while ensuring value for money is achieved through the delivery of effective procurement and management of repairs.
The successful candidate will be customer focused, have great customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously to improve our property standards. An experienced and highly knowledgeable repairs surveyor is required. A full driverβs licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.

Woking Borough Council takes a robust approach to thoroughly checking anyone who has applied to work with vulnerable groups including children. As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post. An assessment may be required.
