Quality Lead
Here at Gem Partnership, we are looking for a Quality Lead to join our team.
The Quality Lead will be responsible for overseeing and driving quality assurance processes within the business, ensuring all teaching, learning, and assessment practices meet required standards, comply with regulations, and continuously improve learner outcomes by analysing data, conducting audits, and implementing improvement strategies across all provisions.
You will report directly to the Training Director and work closely with our Compliance and Delivery Managers.
Key responsibilities of the Quality Lead will include:
- Quality Assurance Audits, Reviews and Internal Quality Assurance: Conduct regular internal quality audits, classroom and work-based observations, work scrutiny, deep dives, and reviews of teaching materials to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant awarding body requirements. Carry out IQA of specialist subject, lead on standardisation meetings, and share best practice across the delivery team.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse learner data, including attendance, progress, achievement rates, and feedback to identify trends to senior managers, highlight areas of concern, and inform quality improvement plans.
- Curriculum Development and Review: Collaborate with Delivery to ensure course content is up-to-date, relevant to industry needs, and aligned with quality standards, facilitating curriculum reviews and updates as needed.
- Professional Development Support: Provide training and support to the delivery team on quality improvement methodologies, assessment practices, and effective feedback strategies to enhance their teaching skills.
- Learner Voice and Employer Voice: Actively engage learners and employers through feedback mechanisms to gather insights on their learning experience and incorporate their perspectives into quality improvement initiatives.
- Compliance Management: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the business adheres to all relevant quality standards, funding, and compliance requirements.
- Quality Improvement Plans: Contribute to targeted quality improvement plans based on data analysis, addressing identified areas for improvement and monitoring progress.
- Deep Understanding of FE Landscape: Extensive knowledge of current quality frameworks, Ofsted inspection criteria, and relevant awarding body regulations.
- Awarding Body: Lead on all EQA visits with awarding bodies, including working with IQA to prepare learner samples and ensure all due diligence is up to date.
- Teaching and Learning Expertise: Understanding of effective teaching practices, assessment strategies, and curriculum design principles.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, learners, and external agencies.
