Sous Chef
- Annual Salary: £14.83 per hour
- Location: Wymondham
- Job Type: Full-time - 6.00-14.00 or 11.30-19.30
- Duration: Temporary to Permanent - Immediate Start
Join our dedicated team in Wymondham, where we are committed to providing excellent culinary experiences. We are currently seeking a skilled Sous Chef to oversee our kitchen operations during a mix of shifts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the Head Chef in the planning and preparation of meals.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff.
- Ensure the quality and timely preparation of all dishes.
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Manage inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Excellent cooking skills with a keen eye for freshness, quality, and cleanliness.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
- Relevant culinary qualifications.
