Job Description

Axon Moore are partnering with a growing organisation in Preston to recruit a newly created Management Accountant position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part or newly qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career and move into a varied, commercially focused role. You’ll gain exposure across the wider business, with the opportunity to contribute beyond the traditional finance function and play a key role in supporting continued growth.

We’re looking for a high energy, proactive and inquisitive accountant who enjoys being hands on, gets involved in the detail and is keen to make a genuine impact. Previous experience of month-end processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation and review of monthly P&L accounts
  • Supporting the annual statutory audit process
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Taking full ownership and accountability for balance sheet reporting and accuracy
  • Acting as a key finance contact and business partner across multiple divisions
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and wider finance initiatives

This role offers significant scope to add value, identify efficiencies, introduce new ideas and contribute to business improvement initiatives across a forward-thinking finance function.
