We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join their reputable dealership in Gateshead. The Vehicle Technician position offers a stable career within a busy workshop, providing opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth.

Benefits:
- Competitive basic salary up to £38,000, dependent on experience
- OTE of approximately £52,480, including productivity and bonus schemes
- Ongoing manufacturer training, including hybrid and electric vehicle programmes

- 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays
- Modern workshop equipped with the latest technology
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and diagnostics on Ford Commercial Vehicles
- Perform servicing, inspections, and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Fit accessories and additional customer-requested modifications
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Identify and report any additional work during inspections
- Ensure all warranty repairs and aftersales work adhere to manufacturer guidelines
- Road test vehicles to verify fault rectification
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately and thoroughly
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle repair
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a dealership or independent garage
- Strong diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems
- Self-motivated with a focus on delivering quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow manufacturer procedures
