We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Maidstone. This is a part-time position (4 days per week) with an immediate start, offering an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will take on a full teaching role, including planning, preparation, marking, assessment, and participation in departmental activities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons that encourage students to achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
- Working collaboratively with the English department and wider school team
- 4 days per week
- Immediate start
- Ongoing assignment
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- A passion for English and student achievement
- Ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and staff
