Legal Cashier - Hybrid Working

About the role
An established East Sussex law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join it's friendly finance team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of the accounts department, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
- Completing client and business bank reconciliations
- Dealing with out-of-date cheques
- Monitoring electronic payments, including CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments
- Checking completions and setting up CHAPS and other electronic transactions
- Arranging foreign payments when required
- Identifying, allocating and posting incoming electronic and manual receipts
- Banking client and business account receipts
- Calculating and applying client interest
What we are looking for
The successful Legal Cashier will be accurate, organised and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
They will need:
- At least 3 years' Legal Cashier experience, specifically on the client side
- Up-to-date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- A positive and collaborative approach
