Your New Role

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will encourage creativity, develop students' artistic skills and foster a passion for visual arts through imaginative and well-planned teaching.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress.
  • Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
  • Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment activities.
  • Upholding high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and attendance.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to drive excellent outcomes.

This is a full-time temporary position, five days per week, with an immediate start available.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this Art Teacher job, you will ideally have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for creative education and student success.
  • The ability to engage, motivate and inspire young learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
