Maintenance Fitter focuses on carry out planned preventative maintenance (ppm) and reactive maintenance across the recycling plant.
What the role involves
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the recycling plant.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
- Liaise with fabricators and external contractors where necessary.
- Monitoring equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce recurring faults.
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly.
Skills and requirements
- Maintain spare parts stock, reporting low stock levels when required.
- Previous experience in a maintenance fitting or industrial maintenance role.
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory position would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, hydraulics and PLCs.
Confirmed role details
- Work closely with Shift Managers and production teams to schedule maintenance effectively.
- Provide detailed shift handovers.
- 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off).
- Shift times are 05:00 - 17:00 and 17:00 - 05:00.
