What the role involves
- To ensure the site effluent treatment plant and associated equipment is operated to its maximum efficiency and within Wessex water consent levels, including discharge monitoring.
- To carry out regular cleaning of the effluent treatment plant, associated equipment and surrounding yard areas as detailed in SOP WWTP 2.10, including pre-start checks.
- Carry out regular testing of effluent discharge water to ensure discharge limits are within consent levels as per SOP WWTP2.10 and WWTP operating Guide.
- Ensure all external areas of responsibility are maintained to the company standard to include cleaning of the bund and tanks, all yard area adjacent to the WWTP.
- Ensure surface water monitoring points (SWMP) are checked daily.
- Drainage system is kept operational and unblock drains in the yard.
