This Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician position focuses on coordinating the effective communication of clinical trials related matters to the wider Pharmacy department and other healthcare professionals.
Professional requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' work
- Applicants must have current UK professional registration
- Level 3 NVQ (QCF) Diploma Pharmacy Service
- Level 3 National Certificate in Pharmacy Services, or Diploma Pharmaceutical Science or Level 3 knowledge base programme (Or equivalent qualification
- Computer literate and able to demonstrate a good depth of ability to use excel, word programmes
- GCP qualification
- You’ll need previous experience of conducting audit / project work
- (post qualification) as a qualified Pharmacy Technician to include hospital roles
- Able to communicate with patients and all grades of healthcare staff (verbally and in writing)
- Prioritisation, excellent time management, the ability to plan and execute long-term projects and maintain multiple projects at once

Clinical responsibilities
- Lead the collection, analysis and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) data for benchmarking and identify any variations or concerns for discussion
- Provide written and oral information to patients regarding clinical trials IMPs
- Provide specialist advice and assurance that all IMP processes comply with GCP, MHRA requirements
- Develop and review departmental clinical trial work and standard operating procedures

- Lead the Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) management, including receipt, dispensing, handing out, returns, temperature excursion reports, and any other relevant activities
Compensation
- Salary: £47,951 to £56,863 a year
- Per Annum including HCAS pro-rata
