Mental Health Nurse focuses on conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process.

What the role involves

  • Conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process.
  • Conducting remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom.
  • Attending the Exeter clinic base for in-person assessments (minimum 1-2 days per week).

Skills and requirements

  • NMC registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with children and young people OR adults.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
  • Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.

Confirmed role details

  • Permanent (Full-Time and Part-Time Available).
  • Hybrid (Minimum 1-2 days in office).
  • Competitive salary based on experience (£30,000 - £55,000 per annum), with annual salary reviews and pension contributions.
