Underwriter

Underwriter required by prestigious client, based near Cirencester. The successful Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing applications, considering risk and agreeing terms accordingly.

Main Duties:

1. Reviewing allocated applications, considering risk factors and formulating decisions on terms.
2. Managing policy changes and exclusions.
3. Processing claims misrepresentation cases.
4. Responding to enquiries by telephone and email.
5. Referral of cases when required.
6. Carrying out analysis and producing reports.
7. Contributing to continuous improvement of business processes.

Requirements:

1. A background within a similar role gained within a Financial Services Environment.
2. Excellent communication skills, with a consultative approach and the ability to influence others.
3. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload.
4. Able to make strategic business decisions.
5. A strong understanding of the relevant legislation.
6. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
