We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Testing Team. In collaboration with our business analysis experts and wider Digital department, you will ensure best practice is embedded across all activities ensuring digital and technology services are delivered effectively and efficiently to support the Trust. As part of our Digital, Data, and Technology department, you will help ensure the safe development, implementation, and operation of vital applications, including Electronic Health and Care Records, Virtual Consultation platforms, and other business applications. Your work will be fundamental to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care across the Trust.

As a Test Analyst, you will play a key role within the Digital department, supporting the delivery of new and improved systems and services across the Trust. You will ensure that testing activities align with organizational policies and best practices, tailored to the criticality and risks of each solution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with user representatives for User Assurance Testing, ensuring that business processes are accurately reflected in system functionality.
  • Collaborating with vendors, users, & stakeholders to identify and resolve test issues, influencing vendor roadmaps where needed.
  • Supporting clinical safety officers, business analysts, project managers, and other key figures in addressing complex, novel issues across the organization.
  • Designing & executing software & hardware testing processes, identifying test issues and undocumented features, and maintaining a comprehensive testing knowledge base by product or product family.
  • Assurance & quality reviews, ensuring agreed-upon quality criteria are met.
  • Identification & mitigation of potential clinical hazards for evaluation according to DCB0129/0160.
  • Collaborating with vendors to create roadmap priorities.
  • The Trust's Clinical Systems Change Control Process.

This is a hybrid role primarily homeworking, but you will need to be available on-site & visit users across Devon as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience
  • Qualifications at GCSE level or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language
  • Experience of software testing, or equivalent gained in an application support, systems administration or a clinical/corporate administration role.
