A SQL Server Developer will join the regulatory data team and help fulfil the crucial requirement of provisioning data that supports reporting to regulators and other third parties. The regulatory data team is responsible for building and maintaining real-time and batch reporting systems to fulfil this requirement. The semantics of third-party reporting requirements often result in complex business logic to transform our data models into those of the regulators. These systems are currently implemented in SQL Server, .NET windows services, .NET web services, APIs, and SSRS reports. You will be responsible for the continued development of the department's most critical systems. This role has been created due to an increase in the number of regulated markets that the business plans to operate. The role will be part of a team of SQL Developers, developing data-centric solutions to meet the demands of business initiatives. This role is eligible for inclusion in the company's hybrid working policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the development and maintenance of regulatory submission systems.
  • Working alongside other members of the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions within the required timeframes.
  • Assisting in the continuous improvement, maintenance, and housekeeping of databases and existing solutions.
  • Implementing solutions in line with departmental standards and adhering to the development process.
  • Conducting QA to ensure code is both accurate, efficient, and performant.
  • Creating and maintaining relevant documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Commercial SQL Server database development experience in the field of database-centric including real-time high-volume software development.
  • Methodical with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to break down complex requirements into simple solutions.
  • Relish development and support of mission-critical software.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server performance monitoring and query tuning.
  • Experience of working in a distributed office and remote team environment, delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a continually changing, reactive environment.
  • Experience working with GCP or other cloud hosting platforms.
  • Commercial experience of .NET C# development.
