We invite applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position to join an exciting opportunity based in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Lancaster University. This position focuses on the development and application of statistical methods to support the reduction of end user energy demand, with particular focus on the analysis of time series, collected in real time.
The post is offered for a 6 month period, and we seek a researcher who has experience of developing novel methodology inspired by, and feeding back into, real world challenge.
You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in Statistics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience. Throughout, you should have demonstrated an ability to develop new methods or theory, together with associated computation, in a related area of statistical inference and decision. You will also have shown a demonstrable ability to produce academic writing of the highest publishable quality.
This is a full-time position, though we will consider applicants requesting part-time or other flexible working arrangements. We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
