An exciting opportunity is available at our Taw Valley location for a pivotal position reporting directly to the Operations Manager. You will join our Taw Valley-based multifunctional team to collaborate closely with the Lactofree Director on global category strategy, targets, and equity building. You will manage the Cheddar cheese area, working with Factory Departmental Team Leaders and specialists. As a natural leader, you inspire colleagues, excel under pressure, and drive continuous improvement. Your enthusiasm for team development and history of enhancing employee skills will help cultivate a culture of improvement throughout the site.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and influence the LCO Team to improve line performance using LEAN tools, APS, SPC, OEE, and ensure continuous improvements in dairy. This includes developing balanced scorecards and KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and sustainability.
- Coach and develop employees and teams based on Good Leadership, Good Values, and competency development. Ensure sufficient staffing skill levels and optimal utilization of resources alongside Team Leaders.
- Optimize and plan resources in cooperation with internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient and stable operations processes anchored in KPI fulfilment. Facilitate and action setting any issues arising from DRMs.
- Ensure a healthy, inclusive, and safe working environment, adhering to health & safety talks, quality, and food safety standards. Develop and implement a high standard dairy mindset and ensure compliance with Arla Foods' standards and policies.
- Promote digital transformation by working with data-driven decision-making and maintaining financial understanding within the framework set by finance. Act as a role model for digital transformation and manage the budget.
