This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful Commercial Performance and Enablement (CP&E) team within the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Chief Operating Office to be at the forefront of driving the growth agenda! The Performance Director (PD) reports into the Head of Commercial Performance and works in close partnership with the Managing Directors of Trading Sectors and Specialist Commercial Banking Sales (SCBS) to deliver performance oversight and key enablers to drive growth. This provides an excellent opportunity to support in delivering BCB Commercial Banking Coverage's (CBC) exciting growth ambitions and would suit colleagues looking to hone their leadership skills, build resilience, and influence senior colleagues on a national basis to deliver both our client and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering critical performance metrics and will work closely with senior regional and national leaders to positively influence performance. Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Forming and nurturing effective relationships across multiple teams operating within CP&E and the broader BCB Chief Operating Office business.
- Collaborating across BCB Commercial Banking Coverage to deliver growth ambitions, sharing best practice, and focusing individually crafted actions to support any areas identified.
- Taking ownership for curating, communicating, and embedding key enablers to proactively improve growth.
- Demonstrate an active and clear understanding of pipeline, forecasts, and key performance trends to ensure delivery of key client and financial benchmarks.
- Build strategic relationships with product partners and heads of sales to encourage teamwork, challenge adverse trends, and drive performance.
- Demonstrate excellent coaching skills, provide insightful feedback, and constructively highlight any areas for improvement to drive a performance culture.
- Work in close conjunction with leaders to ensure accurate, timely, and effective sharing of performance management information.
- Evidencing strong analytical and presentational skills to an array of parties to provide a data-led lens to performance management.
- Ability to review and analyse various business objectives, assimilate challenges, and formulate impactful solutions.
- Be adept in managing within a matrix structure and be effective in influencing colleagues across a range of specialist areas.
- Experience of working within commercial banking - an understanding of Mid Corporates and Specialist Commercial Banking Sales would be advantageous.
- Confident in promoting a mentoring and development culture.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate optimally and challenge constructively across a variety of levels.
- Performance Management experience with a talent for identifying trends and curating innovative solutions.
