Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) is an integrated care organisation and we are looking to recruit a full time, permanent band 5 Management Accountant to work as part of a collaborative, dynamic and friendly team located in Torquay. The post holder will support all aspects of financial management, including playing a key role in the monthly management accounts closedown process, variance analysis and supporting budget holders. Responsibilities:- Provide a Management Accounting service, ensuring financial information is processed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with procedures and policies of the Finance Directorate.
- Provide information for statutory returns through completion of own work and through the coordination of the work of others.
- Produce monthly variance analysis for review, and investigation for specific budgets with relevant budget holders and support operational decisions and any mitigations.
- Assist with monthly I&E reporting. Forecasting of income, pay and non-pay expenditure forward on a regular basis, and assist with year-end processes and procedures.
- Undertake investigations into complex financial activity related issues, frequently meeting budget holders, undertaking forecast work and providing advice as appropriate.
- Support colleagues within the Finance Directorate and provide advice and assistance to budget holders throughout the Trust.
- You will possess effective Excel skills, with experience of computerised financial ledgers, budgeting and reporting systems.
- You will be pro-active with strong communication skills and have good analytical skills.
- NHS management accounting experience is desirable.
