This role is HYBRID and based in Manchester 3 DAYS A WEEK. An Infrastructure Consultant (Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V) is needed to join a leading Microsoft Partner investing heavily in infrastructure transformation. As an Infrastructure Consultant, you will need experience with some but not all the following:
- Expertise in Windows Server (2012 and beyond) OR Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat, Debian) for design and configuration.
- Proficiency with virtualisation technologies like VMware (v8.0.3) or Hyper-V.
- A solid grasp of physical server builds and operating system installation.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level security protocols like privileged access management or identity segregation.
- A strong background in infrastructure or data centre operations, ideally with home lab experience.
You must be willing and able to undergo SC Clearance checks for this position.
Your Role: In this predominantly on-premises position, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain the organisation's on-premises infrastructure.
- Manage data centre operations, including racks, hardware, and server configurations.
