This role is HYBRID and based in Manchester 3 DAYS A WEEK.

An Infrastructure Consultant (Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V) is needed to join a leading Microsoft Partner investing heavily in infrastructure transformation. If you\’re ready to work on cutting-edge data centre projects and secure high-profile SC clearance, this is for you.

As an Infrastructure Consultant (Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V) you will need experience with some but not all the following:

1. Expertise in Windows Server (2012 and beyond) OR Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat, Debian) for design and configuration.
2. Proficiency with virtualisation technologies like VMware (v8.0.3) or Hyper-V.
3. A solid grasp of physical server builds and operating system installation.
4. Familiarity with enterprise-level security protocols like privileged access management or identity segregation.
5. A strong background in infrastructure or data centre operations, ideally with home lab experience.

You must be willing and able to undergo SC Clearance checks for this position.

Your Role:

In this predominantly on-premises position, you will:

1. Design, build, and maintain the organisation\’s on-premises infrastructure.
2. Manage data centre operations, including racks, hardware, and server configurations.
3. Collaborate with network and voice teams to maintain critical hardware solutions.
4. Play a key role in transitioning from Windows-based to Linux-based systems while ensuring enterprise-grade security.
