About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Assistant supports the HR department with administrative tasks and provides generalist HR advice to employees. Tasks will include maintaining employee files, including new hire paperwork, separation paperwork, I-9/E-Verify records; onboarding and offboarding - taking ownership and coordinating the new hire process and leaver process; scheduling, assisting with data collection for audits, reporting, and other special projects, and assist with formulating policies, procedures and changes as well as communicating updates to employees. This position is full-time, based out of our Concord, MA office. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Initially, during the training period, the position will be primarily in-office and then eligible for a hybrid schedule.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Initiate background checks and drug screenings. Inform HR manager of any alerts.
  • Open HR/Payroll mail, scan and distribute.
  • Assist with data gathering for audits and special projects.
  • Assist with the administration and driving wellness campaigns.
  • Maintain the HR Operations calendar in Outlook.
  • Maintain the HR help desk email account, responding to employee questions or forwarding emails to the appropriate team member.
  • Support the coordination of training events on an as required basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process and pay increases.
  • Provide administrative support to HR function as needed including record keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
  • Scan documents as needed and file in electronic files.
  • Maintain new hire list and PowerPoint to be used in all-hands meetings.
  • Assist or prepare correspondence as needed.
  • Draft letters for promotions/rate changes - all those not related to an open requisition.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years in an office environment. HR/Payroll background desirable.
  • Ability to work with confidential information is crucial.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ADP.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
