Key Accountabilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and, where trained, mechanical equipment.
- Support compliance and safety standards, including statutory requirements.
- Work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
- Participate in development programmes to build mechanical capability if joining with electrical‑only background.
- Contribute to project work, ensuring assets are installed, maintained, and commissioned to high standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues promptly.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work safely in confined spaces, following health and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving license required for site travel.
- Recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a core discipline within industrial or utilities environments.
- Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to develop skills in additional disciplines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong communication and basic IT skills.
