Key Accountabilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and, where trained, mechanical equipment.
  • Support compliance and safety standards, including statutory requirements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
  • Participate in development programmes to build mechanical capability if joining with electrical‑only background.
  • Contribute to project work, ensuring assets are installed, maintained, and commissioned to high standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work safely in confined spaces, following health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Full UK driving license required for site travel.
  • Recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a core discipline within industrial or utilities environments.
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to develop skills in additional disciplines.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong communication and basic IT skills.
