We are looking for an experienced Conference and Events Manager to provide exceptional hospitality to all of our Conference and Events guests. You will need to ensure an efficient and effective operation of the Conference and Events operational departments through effective management and training and development of staff within the department.

Your Day to Day:

  • Management of the hotel conference rooms by working with colleagues and members of the nights team to ensure brand standards are met at all times.
  • Providing exceptional hospitality to ensure smooth running of all weddings and events as per guest requirements.
  • Ensure all function rooms and conference rooms are set and presentable at all times.
  • Working with the Breakfast Manager and Restaurant & Bars Manager, produce an efficient rota utilizing staff to meet the business needs of the wider Food and Beverage Department.
  • Ensuring all Health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Work closely with the Conference and Events sales team to understand Conference, Wedding and Event requirements, attending 48-hour meetings with wedding couples to ensure a smooth handover.

You will have worked previously in a similar Conference and Events role either as a senior supervisor or a manager now looking to progress their career. Experience of working in a 4-star hotel would be advantageous. You will be required to support the wider Food and Drinks departments as needed. This is a management role and therefore you will demonstrate high levels of both self-motivation and the ability to motivate, lead and develop a team. You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will be passionate about working within the hospitality industry, have a strong work ethic, and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.
