Are you outgoing, highly motivated and want to make a real difference to patient care and experience? If so, we want to hear from you! An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 nurse to join the Bed Management Team. This is a challenging, varied role, where you will use your nursing, operational and organisational expertise to the full. You will also provide advice, support and information, ensuring efficient streamlining of a patient's journey to facilitate "Right Patient, Right Bed".
Main duties of the job:
- You will be required to provide the hospital with a single source of accurate and up to date information at all times on bed occupancy and Emergency Department waiting times.
- The successful candidate will be part of a team providing site cover 7 days per week, 24 hours per day.
- You must be computer literate with an eye for detail and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- It is essential to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- To be responsible for the efficient and effective utilisation of bed resources ensuring the safe clinical placement of patients across the hospital site.
- To always act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
