Pertemps are recruiting for an Electrician to join a leading school based near Andover. This is a full time permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the site.
Responsibilities as an Electrician:
- Assemble, install, test, certify and maintain electrical wiring, equipment and appliances.
- Install and maintain three phase and single phase control gear for motors, pumps and fans.
- Inspect, diagnose, test systems.
- Assist IT Department with wiring and cabling.
- Carry out PAT testing.
- Plan and coordinate routine electrical testing.
- Maintain records of all testing and certification.
- Ensure the school is fully registered with NICEIC or similar regulatory body.
Requirements:
- Qualified Electrician
- Good working knowledge of installation BS 7671
- Level 3 qualification for inspection, testing and installation
- Experience of EICR
- Ability to work to RAMS
- Capable of emergency electrical triage
- Own transport due to rural location
The Role:
- Competitive salary - £33,000 - £40,000 negotiable depending on experience
- Monday – Friday, 7am – 3.30pm
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
